The Most Fun Summer Travel Photo Journal

My family loves to travel.  We go near and far as often as we can and enjoy it all, from two hour trips to the beach to weeks long trips home to Montana all the way to Europe and more, we just love to experience all that we can through travel.  This summer is yet another opportunity for us to spread our wings and see a bit more and we want to have a way to journal and remember it all.  This photo journal is the perfect way for us to jot down our thoughts and have instant gratification with our photos.

So although this may not be the cheapest option, I was just excited to be able to go old school and shake my photos again.  This may be the most photographed generation, but I have a heck of a time actually printing my pics so this was perfect for me.  This cute little camera shoots out adorable sized polaroid-esque pictures.  I purchased all of my supplies at Walmart after a quick run through the craft aisle.

The fun washi tapes were less than a dollar each, the large set of patterned papers was $5 and the Smash book was right around $10.  The camera was on sale for $55 with $20 for extra film.  I was hesitant to make the purchases at first, but there are so many memories that I want to make sure to capture.  I want to jot down the notes, glue down receipts or maps and add a fun picture for each stop as well.

One of my favorite features of the Smash books is their pen/glue stick.  It comes in super handy to have it right there attached to the book!

So what are your plans for the summer?  If you are traveling, I hope that you make sure to journal it in someway.  And if you are looking for a way for your kiddos to create a journal of their own, check out this version I made last year.  I also shared my favorite road trip tips!
